Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

If a person is convicted of two non-violent felonies as a minor, can the Romero decision apply even once they are adults? Currently, we are faced with this situation. The new case involves a felony hit and run.

Romero is a motion to request the court exercise its discretion and strike a prior "strike" conviction for the purpose of sentencing. Yes, it can apply to an adult facing felony charges who has juvenile strikes.

The question is - are the juvenile convictions really strikes? Not every felony is a strike. Only serious or violent ones (things like murder, rape, arson, residential burglary, etc) count.

Whoever this person is needs to be represented by an attorney. That attorney can discuss the true record and what the options are.
