Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Plead Guilty vs Conviction
I pleaded guilty to swapping license plates on a car, (non registration) and paid a fine. Is this the same as being convited of a misdomeanor?
I'm applying for a job, and wondering if it will show up on my background check.

Re: Plead Guilty vs Conviction
Yes, it is a misdemeanor conviction, it will show up on a background check, and you'll never hear back from the prospective employer. Too bad you pleaded guilty.
