Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Public Right-of-Ways on Private Roads

Question: Been living on this road here for over ten years. Then all of a sudden, this woman says, she owns the road and then blocks it off. Some weird Hatfield and Mc Coy stuff is going on, and I wish I had time to entertain your day, but I am in the midst of finals. Been doing some research though, and I can't seem to fine tune it. I found your website last night, and I think you're the guy with all the knowledge about laws. Need some wise helpful advice. Please counsel. Eminent domain? For the greater good? Can we still use the road? I'm not the only one affected. Please Help. Thanks, God, I hope this post doesnt travel too far; Ive never posted before. Anyway, Ive been searching Google under like this: Previously Dedicated Public Right-of-Ways Private Roads within and San Bernardino county.

Re: Public Right-of-Ways on Private Roads

This is a real property issue not a traffic issue. Resubmit the question in the real estate section. However, easement law should apply to your situation. If the road is the only access to your property the law will allow you to continue to use it.
