Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
I was pulled over and written a traffic citation recently. The details include: School zone located on bottom of hill, I was not using the accelerator, was coasting on my brakes & going with the flow of traffic. 8 AM - heavy traffic conditions. 3 police officers were standing on the sidewalk with radar guns, one proceeded to walk out into the middle of my lane and motioned for me to stop & pull over. The officer directed me to pull over into a red curbed zone (no parking). The officer showed me the radar reading of 45 mph, then proceeded to write me a ticket for speeding. My question is, is there any area of the details that would automatically get this case dismissed in court on the part of the officer doing something against procedure (i.e. Walking into the middle of traffic & asking me to park in a red zone)?
