Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Rear-ended, pushed into car in front of me
Freeway traffic came to a sudden stop. Driver behind me hit me and pushed me into the car in front of me. She claims I hit the car in front of me before she hit me. Driver in front says he saw me stopped and only felt one impact. No police report. All drivers were insured and we all filed claims. Most damage to my car was done from the frontal impact (cracked radiator and badly dented hood). My car will be totaled - it was old and had many miles. I'm seeking therapy for soreness in the back. With the testimony as it is, what is the likelihood that she will get away with any part of her false statement, holding me liable for damage to the front of my car? Should I risk seeing a chiro on a contingency? I can't afford to pay for the treatment myself, and I only had liability coverage on my car. How much of a factor is ''inconvenience'' when it comes to compensation? Thanks in advance.

Lost wages, lost earning capacity, medical bills, future medical costs, and, pain and suffering are awardable. You need to obtain representation immediately so as to have the reserves set at the highest possible level and for referral to a doctor who ill treat you on a lien basis. Moreover, don't talk to the adjuster!!! Everything you say will be used to minimize your claim or skirt liability. The insurance companies have attorneys to protect thier rights, why don't you?
