Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

I received a speed ticket I was driving 45m and the speed limit 30m the officer used the Radar Gun. I have a questions:

1- The speed limit sign before the police officer stopped me was completely covered with a tree branch. I have photos.

2- The police office was hiding behind a bus and he came himself waking not riding a Motorcycle just in front of my car not more than 20 feet? My question is do you think it is the proper way to stop me? Is any rules and regulation? If I was driving 45m it wouldn�t be easy for me to stop without hitting him? Also he put me in high risk??

Do you think it worth to fight it??

1. You do not say what was the last speed limit sign you did see says on it, was the neighborhood residential or the type that is normally limited to 30 mph, etc.

2. the judge will laugh at a defense that because of your speed and the officer coming out from behind the bus you might have run him down so he should have let you speed off. You broke the law and have a very weak excuse. Check to see if your traffic court is the type that gives you a discount on the fine if you plead guilty and can pay it now.
