Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
I recieved an HOV ticket and I am not working right now. Do I have to pay the full amount of the ticket or can I negotiate the price. I have a court date on May 24th and I would like to know what to expect before I go there.

Judges don't negotiate the fines, although the judge might reduce it if you ask for mercy. Most courts have a collection agency that you might be willing to negotiate a payment schedule with you.
