Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

right on red light

I was pulled over by an officer who was on a sidewalk when I made a right turn at an intersection. He said that I ran a red light when I made the right turn. I am possitive that I didn't. When I went to court all I could say in my defense is that I know it was a green light and that I doubt the officer could be fully aware of my situation, given his position. The court found me guilty, by the cop's word alone. When I went back to the site I was given a ticket at I took pictures and I know it was impossible for the officer to be possitive about the red light and my car from where he was. What can I do to argue this in the appeal?

Re: right on red light

New evidence cannot be introduced in the appeal. lThe only evidence is that which was introduced at the trial. The only chance you have to introduce the new evidence would be to request a new trial. That will be difficult as the onformation you obtained was readily available before the trial. Nolo press sells a book with information regarding fighting your traffic ticket.
