Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Rescheduled Trial Date Question

I had a Trial De Novo (I was found guilty on the Trial by Written Declaration) scheduled for Jan. 7, I left home on Dec. 15 and left the country on Dec. 18, and was away from home up until the day of my trial. I showed up for the trial an hour early and found out that the trial had been rescheduled while I was out of the country for Jan. 14th. The court location is about 4-5 hours from my home so it is a problem for me to return to the court. Is there a way for me to have the case dismissed or any other action that I can take that would be favorable to me, such as having the venue moved?

TRY CONTACTING THE COURT BY PHONE. There is no change of venue, but we would try to get the case dismissed for you. CALL US IF THAT IS YOUR GOAL
