Can I sale my car w/ a ticket on it?

Today I received a ticket for speeding and a VC 27156 - Tampering with smog. I also I have to go see a state referee to have my car certified. Now my question is, Is it possible for me to sale the car? I understand I will have to still pay all the fees. But if I sale the car will I still be liable to still have it certified by a state referee? Will the next owner have any problems registering it or anything like that?

You are required by law to smog your car before you sell it. A new buyer will have the same problem with smog as you do. The only exceptio would be if the buyer was a licensed auto dimantler.
