Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
If I have a self-insurance certificate do I need to show a sr-22
I have two DUI's on my record and I'm planning on getting a restricted license.
Instead of paying the high cost of insurance for me I want to deposit $30,000
into an account and turn it over to the DMV in order to get self insured. I now
someone who does this but they don't require sr-22 insurance. The DMV told
me if I want my license back I must show them a sr-22 form for the finacial
responsibility proof but I'm confused if I still need to show one if I'm self
insured.

Your $30K ought to do just fine, but have you considered taking taxis?
