Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Signing a traffic ticket
Is it obligatory, by law, to sign a traffic ticket? The citing police officer threatened to arrest me on site and put me in jail if I did not sign it.

Re: Signing a traffic ticket
No you can either sign the ticket, which is a promise to appear in court or if you refuse to sign you can be arrested by the officer.
