Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Sued for Car Accident Medical Pay after 1 Year
I have received a letter from a lawyer for some previous accident I was at fault in. We payed his insurance company directly for the car damage cost and we thought it was over, the accident was on February 2007. Now about 2 days ago I received a letter wanting $5000. It has been over a year and I believe this is just a cheap way to try to make a buck.
I hear that after 1 year one cannot sue for medical for an accident, is this true?

They have up to two years. Just send the letter to your own auto insurance carrier and they will take care of everything.
