Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
being sued for childs car accident
My sister who is under my parents
insurance was in--name removed-
-car accident
involving--name removed--
motorcyclist. According
to police and the insurance she
was at fault. it has been about--
name removed--
year since, the motorcyclist has--
name removed--
lawyer .We think they are going to
sue my parents who weren't even
involved. What legal rights, do my
parents have, if any? help!!!!

Did your parents own the car? Did they let your sister use it? If she was driving her own car (in other words, the car is in her name), than she will be sued. Your parents insurance will pay any claim and defend your sister if she is insured under the policy. If she was driving your parents car, then they are a proper party to the lawsuit, but the insurance will defend them as well.
