Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Ticket from CA Park Ranger
I got a wreckless driving ticket from a Park Ranger on a dirt road. The amount is $400. She claims I was driving recklessly, but once I saw her when I came around the corner, I slowed down. She stopped and then I stopped and talked to her. I was going maybe 20 mph on my way home with a bunch of camping gear in the back of my truck. She told me to pull over and leave my vehicle. She then performed a D.U.I. test. She said I was at .08 B.A.C. but did not arrest me. She did not show any proof, and then claimed that her device was broken. But she wrote on the ticket that my B.A.C. was .08. I then had to sit on a bench for an hour while she continued her patrol route. Should I fight this? IF I was driving recklessly I would have floored it past her, but I stopped and talked to her. The whole thing is ludicrous.

Re: Ticket from CA Park Ranger
Review the Nolo Press book "How to Fight Your Traffic Ticket" this book should help you decide about fignting the ticket. If there was not a blood alcohol test, there is no way for her to know the blood alcohol level.
