Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
I got a ticket for, crossing the dbl yellow line in the HOV lane. When i got home i was reading the ticket and it had the wrong info in regards to where this took place. The officer wrote that i was on a FWY that was 6 miles south to where this happened. Can i fight this. Also i got a Notice of correction via mail today as to where this really did happen after the officer i think, Saw his mistake 1 week later. can i fight this?

Can you fight it. Of course you can. You can fight anything you want. Can you win. That's another question. I'm not going to try to guess that one. It depends on many factors including what side of the bed the judge got up that morning.
I'll only add to what Zadik says above by saying you're not going to win on the issue of where the ticket occurred. The Notice of Correction is an "amended complaint" and corrects the location reference in the ticket itself. However, there are other ways to fight this ticket. If you'd like to talk to me about this, don't hesitate to call me. Good luck. Steve Mandell 310 393 0639
