Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
ticket for watching streetraces
I have a question about getting a ticket while at a street race. I know it is illegal to participate in streetracing. There just isn't a reasonable place to do what we do. Well my question is...Can the police block the roads and give out tickets to people watching the streetraces? I my self have never got one but I know of people who have. What the police do is block both ends of a road. They then proceed to give out these tickets called spectator tickets. Is that legal??? How can they give out tickets like this. How about if you're just in the wrong place at the wrong time? Getting off of work one late night and getting caught up in these kinds of raids. The police don't really seem to care who they are getting. I just wanted to know if they can give tickets like this during these raid's.

Re: ticket for watching streetraces
you need to read the ticket and find out what law you are accused of breaking and then read the text of that law.
