Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
What is the total amount paid (fine & assessments) for a CVC 23123(a) violation (talking on cell phone while driving) for first offense? I'm hearing amounts from 76-250?
Is it worth going to court over?

The base fine is $20, but with the penalty assessments, it's $162.
