Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

regarding validity of a traffic ticket

I was cited for driving with a suspended license. I was told during the stop that I had been stopped for rolling a stop sign and that my tags were expired, (although I had the current ones in the car I hadnt stuck them on yet). However I was not cited for either of those things. Is there any way I can fight this? I mean if I was not cited for either of the above infractions, then there is probable cause for me to pulled over in the first place is there? Please let me know as there is a rather hefty fine if I cannot figure a way out of this. Thanks.

Re: regarding validity of a traffic ticket

Depending upon the circumstances, most courts will greatly reduce the fine if you obtain your driver's license. You should also look at the Nolo Press book How to Fight You Traffic Ticket.
