Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Wreckless Driving
I just bought a new Porsche 911. I want to know what the penalties are if I am caught in speeds in excess of 100 mph? Can the State keep my new car? If so how likely is this?

Re: Wreckless Driving
I cannot advise you on how to break the law. However, I have successfully defended tickets for speeding over 100 miles per hour and I am not aware this would result in a forfeiture of your 911 if you were sober and the car was properly registered and insured and you were not carrying contraband. Driving that fast is very dangerous to yourself, your passenger, and innocent others. It might be legal to drive that fast in Montana or rural New Mexico, but I am guessing.
