accounts receivable

business owner died. i sent copies of invoices due to probate att'y & executrix within 2 weeks. att'y said he sent form to file with court. i do not have form, asked to send another. did not send. did not answer phone messages. now says too late to file. sold business shortly after death. did not pay account due. can a business debt be held in probate (1 year) without payent when the business continued to operate? can probate circumvent calif. bulk sales act which provides for business debt satisfaction before sale of assets?

You may be able to file a late claim if you felt you were misled by the adminstrator's attorney.
