Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Administrator/Executor

I would like to change my will/trust and appoint a friend as the administrator so that there will hopefully be no

in-fighting between our 2 adult children. Is there a standard form or can you suggest the wording we should use?

Because we're not using our attorney do we need the form notarized?

Re: Administrator/Executor

you should retain a qualified and experienced estate planning attorney. i have never reviewed a self-prepared will or trust that fully and completely reflected the wishes of the testator/trustor and was properly drafted in all respects. i have also seen major deficiencies or errors in such documents prepared by attorneys who are not familiar or current with estate planning documentation. occasionally, i review a correct and up to date statutory form, if filled out in accordance with the official instructions, which is effective.
