Adopted Son's rights as an heir

What rights as an heir do I have to my father's estate if I am adopted and he has a son by blood.

If your father did not leave a will or a trust, you inherit an equal share of the property - in California adopted children are treated exactly the same as biological children. Of course, your father has the right to write either or both of you out of his will or trust - but if he doesn't do so, you receive the same share.
