Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I was adopted..met my birth parents and my 1/2 sister when I was 23. My birth mom passed in her early 60's. We were very close for over 20 years...

I have one half sister on my birth moms side...who my mom raised. (And who was left In charge of her estate) In my mom's trust she gave my sister specific items (the largest portion of her estate) left the rest to her surviving children myself being named as her only other daughter...my sister reluctantly gave me what she claims was half of a couple accounts and kept everything else. I'm not greedy so I never said anything about the few things I knew should have been split 50/50...it has been several years now since my mom passed and I just found out recently she kept several large dollar amount items to herself without dividing as the trust said.. over 150,000 is there anything at this point I can do or not?

Well the biggest issue is time and you don't provide any dates. So it is impossible even to guess what statutes of limitations may have run out. Even if they have, however, if you can prove you didn't know and had no way of knowing that the trustee failed to follow the trust instructions, you may have a case for the statute of limitations not running until you discovered what happened. The only way to sort this out is to meet with an attorney in person and go over the details.
