Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Why won't ANYONE answer this question?

This is my 3rd time asking this question. Please help. I just want to know if inheritance money is considered as ''Community Property'' in the state of CA. What if I was to buy something with the inheritance money (like a car), would that then be considered as ''Community Property''? Does a Legal Separation stop community property in CA or do you have to file for divorce?

I would appreciate a response. I dont want to share any of this money coming in to my husband who left a few months ago. We are splitting up but it cost too much to do it legally and I want to know my rights if he were to ever find out. Thank you for your time.
