who gets my assets

im single and have no children. my parents are still alive and live in another state. i have siblings who live in other states. without a will who will get my assets?

Your assets would go to your parents in equal shares. This would not include assets with beneficiaries named (like retirement plans or life insurance) or assets held in joint tenancy (the surviving joint tenants would take your share).
