Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
We have an attorney The agreement to try and get my husband his fair portion of his parents trust.We warned him that his sisters would try to take all. The agreement with the court was buy us out or sell and split three ways. They want to use a reverse to pay us . but only give $27000 to us to pay all leagal. We say no. Is this normal negtiation?

I am unsure as to some of the statements you have made. Do you mean that the others have offered to pay your husband 1/3 of the present value of the property by their taking out a reverse mortgage? As long as he immediately gets 1/3rd of the value what does it matter how they get the money? What does the $27,000 represent; if it is legal fees on what basis are you entitled to be paid your legal fees?
And, may I add, if you have an attorney, why are you not discussing this with your attorney.
