Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
I have sent my attorney a Substitution of Attornet completed form. He will not sign it and return it. I have asked for him to send me a bill and he won't. This is a probate case and I would like to represent myself.

Of course you should make sure he got your communication. Email, fax, mail, call. Do at least two, if not three, of those things. Some people just email but of course emails go to spam so not email gets delivered. Assuming you have done all that I would tell the attorney that you are going to report him to the State Bar. I would imagine he might get that signed substitution form back to you a little quicker. I encourage you to consider getting a new attorney. Perhaps working with a highly experienced and professional probate attorney might make the probate process easier for you. Good luck. -John
