Are beneficiaries entitled to true and complete copies of such items as rental agreements, bank statements, tax returns filed, and a list provided by a bank of contents of a safety deposit box?

Both the trustee [handles the Trust] and an executor/administrator [Will] are required to file yearly statements as to the assets in the estate. There is no clear cut requirement as to how detailed those reports need be, but certainly the total amount of funds in each category must be listed and your can request much greater detail, as it would not require much additional work [the Trust or estate end up paying which means the beneficiaries may end up sharing the expense]. Speak to the other beneficiaries involved and try to make a joint demand as that is more forceful that just one person asking. Be polite in the request, but firm.
