Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Who are the beneficiaries?
My father died 3 mos ago & to date the executor hasn't, isn't and won't speak to or communicate with anyone in the family that ''surely would be named.'' The amount is in the billions incl. a large, luxury resort, ''old money stocks,'' and unknown other assets. Will a firm or an individual atty take our case on a contingincy? Other concerns are suspicious circumstances surrounding his unexpected death. Thanks.

Re: Who are the beneficiaries?
As I understand it, you want to know who your father's beneficiaries are, and I presume that you also want to know what you are to inherit. As his child, you are the "natural object of his bounty", but you believe that something suspicious happened and you are not sure if changes to his estate planning occurred.
Your matter and the recommended course of action depend on the circumstances. Did your father have a Trust and a Will? Has a Probate case been opened and an Executor appointed? If so, what county is the case in? Is the Executor a family member, another person, or an institution?
I believe that you would benefit from a private consultation. I offer free initial consultation. If you wish to discuss your situation, please e-mail your phone number to me at [email protected].
