How do I find out or where do I look to see if I was a named beneficiary of a deceased party that I was not related to?

If you were a beneficiary under the will or trust, you should be receiving notice of a probate or trust administration soon. You can also check the court files in the county court where the person died to see if a probate has been filed--the court file is public record, and would contain the will.
