Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I am the beneficiary of my brother's life insurance policy. Is this money that I received considered part of my brother's Estate, and can any creditors come after the money?

Would appreciate any information on this subject.

No. It is not part of the estate and should not be reachable by creditors of the estate.

It is not part of the estate unless the estate was named the beneficiary (very rare).
