Re: Beneficiary rights to review the will

If your parents had a family trust, and had all of their assets actually transferred into the name of the trust, any will will be irrelevant since no assets where in their name, unless under the terms of the trust, your dad reserved some rights to be exercised by will. If you are a beneficiary under the trust, you are entitled by law to receive and review a copy of the Trust Agreement, and that is the place to start. Then you should demand an accounting of the Trustee of the assets in the trust, any investments made, any distributions, etc. If the trustee refuses to make an accounting or makes an inadequate accounting, you can sue the trustee in court for an accounting.
