a benificiary dies and his portion of the inheritance as given to his surviving heirs. are they entitiled since they are not named as a benificiary

It depends on a lot of things, the first and most important is whether the beneficiary takes by will or some other right or instrument. If it's a will, the will usually says who takes if the named beneficiary dies before the testator. If there is no will or the will does not say, then there is a whole lot of other information needed to determine what happens to the deceased beneficiary's share.
