have some bonds and they require the original death certificate in order to be put in someone elses name

Guessing at what the question is, go to the County Recorder's Office and you can obtain the needed certified copy of the death certificate; the original is kept by the County.

you may also require what is known as a small estate affidavit under 13101 of the Probate Code.The local stationary store should carry them but you will need to pay a Notary to to the oath.
