Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My boss left a load of comic books, but only one beneficiary has access to the crates. He seems shady but we don't know how to get them stored somewhere else, he has a history of mishandling parts of the estate . Can we get them appraised. We all get a share out of the comic books. Bp 121365

If there is a formal probate filed they must be appraised by the probate referee. You should secure them as best you can and insist the beneficiary split them up with you according to the will.
