You need to talk to a competent real estate attorney, today. I have no idea why you posted this question under Probate, rather than Real Estate. If escrow is closed, you have title and are subject to the lien. If your title company did not find the lien, and it was of record, you have a claim against the title company. Your title company may then subrogate to your right to sue the seller. If the lien is serious enough, you may have to rescind the sale. You will need to speak to an attorney and provide factual detail for that attorney to advise you properly.
