Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
My brother, a vet, was under conservator care of the LA Public Guardian. A year after his death they inform the family he has accrued cash benefits of $500k+ and require a case number from LA superior Court Probate before they will mail his mom the check. Do I specifically need a CA PROBATE atty? I am sister in AZ handling this. County Counsel said they could file but communication is terrible and it’s been 4 months.
