Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I and my two brothers are the beneficiaries of my mothers will. We also have durable powers of attorney for healthcare & financial. However are address and phone numbers are not correct on these documents. We were wondering if these documents are still valid, or if we need to have these documents updated with the correct address and phone numbers.

I'm surprised your mother has not used a living trust, which is a much more effective tool ( largely because it avoids probate and conservatorships)

No, you do not need to correct properly executed powers of attorney to make them valid. It may be helpful to add an addendum with current information. If your mother is competent at this time, however, why not update them. It would be simple and easy to do. It also avoid having to explain.

The old address information does not make them legally invalid. It would help to update them, however, to make things run smoothly in the event you need them.
