In California can a UTMA be held till age 21? I know a UGTM age is 18

In California an account established by gift to a minor will terminate when the minor reaches 18 unless a later age is specified - up to age 21. An account established under a trust or will can terminate as late as 25. So, if you are now setting it up, you can use those guidelines.
