Cashing Check Made Payable to Deceased Spouse

Husband on workers compensation at time of death. Last check made payable to him issued on day of death. Insurance company won't reissue check in wife's name, and wife's bank won't cash because account was not joint with husband.

if there is no probate there is a simple form any lawyer can prepare for you that can get the check cashed.
