Once someone dies their will is their will. However, there are some circumstances where court orders or spcific will/trust instruments that allow modification of certain aspects of the will and trust. Really you are not modifying the will per say you are just changing its effect. If what you are telling us is that your Mother physically rewrote the will after your Father's death, speak to an attorney immediately.
