Getting child out of probate court and into family court
My friends 7yr old boy is trapped in a probate court case in Santa Monica court. The widowers dad & wife sought gaurdianship 4yrs ago in probate court and won. Its been 4 years since the childs dad and widowers husband died. She has been on supervised visits at the Ness Center and has complied with all the courts wishes. Same job same home no criminal problems and never misses a visit. We want to get the custody of her son out of Santa Monica probate court and into Torrance Family Court or Children Services Each judge keeps passing the buck on making a decision about custody What forms can we file to change court houses. She lives in Torrance and the child is in Venice Her dad gets 1000 a month plus his wife (20 yrs his jr.) can't have kids and wants to keep hers. No money left for an attorney, however I pulled all judicial forms on custody I could find and am pretty good at figuring out legal matters. Also the estate from her husband is in ?? she never saw a dime except a million dollar tax bill from the I.R.S. There is money here somewhere he owned gas stations and trucks etc. Help her she wants to have her son back not the money (of course that wouldn't hurt)

Santa Monica judges can be pretty dumb. You might try just filing a case in the torrance family court and see what happens.
