Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Re a codicil to a last will and testament in California:

Must it be attested to by two people or notarized?

Or either?

Unless it is a holographic codicil (i.e. entirely in the handwriting of the testator) it must be executed in just the same fashion as a will, with witnesses.
