Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Cohabitation Agreement

A couple lived together for 30 yrs. They had a notarized agreement keeping their assets/property separate. One partner died, leaving her estate to her sister and nothing to her boyfriend. Probate has ended awarding the estate to the sister. The surviving boyfriend was not on the deed to the house. He has been living there, rent free for one year. He says that he has a claim to part of the estate since he paid her rent and other expenses for years. He has hired an attorney. Does he have any legal claim on the estate?

Re: Cohabitation Agreement

I've answered your earlier posting of the same question. There is no longer an estate for him to make a claim against, if the estate has closed.
