Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Compromise minor trust account

Is there a way i can be represented in court in oakland ca. With a reasonable cost? I'm a single mother with the former deseased husband trust assets held until i find representation to have the trust money designated to my 16 yr old son changed so he will recieve it not at 18 (he is not responsible enough) but at a later date after college or 25 yrs old. My son has clearly demonstrated that the trust would be foolishly spent and he probably wouldn't attempt college if the money was presented to him at 18!!! I would appreciate your compassion for a frustrated single mom trying to make things better for her son's well being. Bless you.

The terms of the trust are what they are. You have no power to change it just because you think it unwise. My advice? Give it up. First, you will likely lose. Second, you son will hate you for a long time for trying.
