Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
This concerns a third party special needs trust, SSI, and medi-cal. My father in law has a special needs trust that was established by his mother to take care of him since he is disabled. I just found out that his mother left him an annuity that is outside of the trust. My question has to do with how can this money be transferred into the trust or to his daughters without losing his eligibility for SSI/Medi-cal. He lives in California.
