Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Contesting Will and Article Revoking Inheritance

Father died 9/2000 and final distribution hearing is 11/30/01. One sibling states he will contest will because he receives less than others. Will has article to revoke share/interest of any party who ''contests or attacks this instrument.'' Can will be contested at this late date; can sibling's interest be revoked and can I ignore his ranting until I receive legal documentation? I am the executor and hate to see the simple estate eaten in legal fees because one sibling is a ''brat.'' I am the executor. Many thanks.

Re: Contesting Will and Article Revoking Inheritance

for him to contest the will means he will have to file a lawsuit. until he does just ignore his loud mouth ravings and pay him what the will says if the court approves the distribution.
