contesting a will
if i am named as a party in a will do i have to be
notified ? how long do i have to contest a will ?
if i was named in a will and not notified what recourse do i have ?if i live in california and the will was drawn up in penn. is there a difference?

Depends on where the decedent resided at time of death. You may have rights under the will. Was it probated (filed with the Court)?
A lot of legal questions are raised in your scenario. First question will be how large is the estate? If the estate is small it may not be worth hiring attorney since fees may exceed any bequest. However, if the estate is large enough then hiring an attorney may be cost-effective.
