Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

This is a difficult question to answer without additional information. Is your mother still alive? If yes, ask your mother. If not, are the only sibling? Was/is your mother married? Does/did your mother have a financial advisor? Close friend?

Absent additional information, I usually advise my clients to keep a copy of their will and other important papers in a convenient easy to locate area. Also, keep a copy in home safe or bank safe deposit box.
